Carbon Accounting Software for Australian Manufacturing and Industrial Operations

Australian manufacturers face the most varied emissions profile of any sector. Gas-fired process heat, electricity for refrigeration and motor loads, refrigerant leaks from ageing systems, on-site fuels, and process emissions from chemical, metal, and cement production all flow into one Scope 1 number. Layer on EU CBAM verification for exporters and the data discipline has to be export-grade.

What changes for manufacturing and industrial

  • Process emissions from clinker calcination, metal smelting, ammonia production, and chemical reactions with site-specific methodology
  • Refrigerant tracking with per-gas mass and AR6 GWPs for AASB S2 disclosure
  • Gas, electricity, and on-site fuel consumption at facility level for NGER and Safeguard
  • CBAM-ready installation-level emissions intensity per product for EU-bound shipments
  • Supplier Scope 3 Category 1 attribution for purchased raw materials
  • Energy intensity metrics per tonne of output for benchmarking and Safeguard baseline tracking

What the system does

  • Reads supplier invoices, weighbridge records, production logs, and refrigerant service dockets via the AI document engine
  • Stores per-gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, refrigerants) with both AR5 and AR6 GWP calculations in parallel
  • Allocates emissions between co-produced products using documented methodology
  • Produces NGER facility submission, AASB S2 dual disclosure, Safeguard baseline tracking, and CBAM-ready installation data
  • Anomaly detection flags abnormal process readings before they reach a published number
  • Per-project structure supports multi-site manufacturers with different reporting boundaries

Frequently asked

Does it handle process emissions methodology?

Yes. Process emissions for clinker, metal, and chemical production are calculated using NGER Method 1 default factors or higher-tier methods where the operator has measured data. Site-specific methodologies are documented in the audit trail.

What about CBAM-ready data for EU exports?

The system stores installation-level emissions intensity per product and produces data extracts that feed the EU CBAM declaration. Verification by an accredited third party still happens externally, but the audit trail and methodology documentation are produced by the system.

How does it handle refrigerants?

Service dockets are read by the AI document engine and refrigerant additions are tracked per system. The system applies AR5 GWPs for NGER reporting and AR6 GWPs (including the fossil/biogenic split for the relevant gases) for AASB S2 disclosure in parallel.
